The WCU blocks communicate with the outdoor unit via Modbus using a single cable. All sensors, actuators and circulation pumps are connected locally in the boiler room – this is a convenient alternative to the indoor unit and the recommended approach for cascade systems with multiple outdoor units. For cascade installations, one WCU per system is recommended.
